Anti-Cruelty Society Honors Chicago Bar Point Club

The Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago has honored the Chicago Bar Point Backgammon Club’s fund-raising efforts over the past 27 years with a wall plaque. Since 1986, BPC tournaments (Midwest Championships, Central States Invitational, ACS Invitational) have raised over $71,000 to benefit Chicago area cats and dogs.

A tile honoring the Bar Point Club will be added to a wall in the Lenore Shapiro Adoption Garden located near their adoption center at 157 W. Grand Avenue.

This year, the Central States Invitational (March) and the Drake Hotel ACS Backgammon Invitational (September) will be raising funds for the Anti-Cruelty Society. We hope you will be able to attend one or both of these events.

Thanks to all Bar Point Club/Anti-Cruelty Society supporters over the past 27 years. You all share in this honor.
